Last Scene: THE SEARCHERS

Great scene from a great movie. I read that the indoors represented civilization to Ford, and the outdoors the wild, untamed world. Thus the Duke heading back to the wild while everyone else embraced civilization. Also, the move he made where he reached across and grabbed his opposite elbow was a tribute to Harry Carey, Sr., who used to do that in a lot of his movies.
